Method & disclosure
Refusal Rate covers open-weight, abliterated and self-hosted language models for developers: how they work, how to run them, what they cost, and where they fall short.
How we source
- Facts come from primary sources: papers, model cards, official docs, pricing pages and repositories. Every guide lists them and carries an "updated" date.
- When we run something ourselves, we say so and give the hardware, quantization and settings. We never present a vendor claim as our own test.
- Prices and model lineups change fast. We re-check pricing pages before every update.
What we won't publish
- Working malware, exploit chains against systems the reader doesn't own, or instructions that only make sense for harming people.
- Jailbreak prompts for hosted assistants. We cover models whose licenses allow the use, run on infrastructure you control.
Disclosure
If we build or own a product we mention, we say so on that page, next to the mention. We don't take payment for rankings.
